The Diocesan Church of Canberra and Goulburn has a Catholic population of about 160,000 in 22 Australian Capital Territory parishes (pop. 90,000) and 35 New South Wales parishes (pop. 70,000) over an area of 88,000 square kilometres, from the coast to the western plains, from the tablelands to the Snowy Mountains.
The Catholic Education Office Canberra works in partnership with Catholic schools and families to provide an education based on Christian principles in the Catholic tradition. It provides a wide range of advice and services for schools, teachers and members of the Catholic education community.
Catholic Voice aims to provide a selection of news, views, reviews, feature stories and pictures of life in the Archdiocese in particular and the Catholic Church in general.
The printed version of the newspaper is published free on the first weekend of each month; 21,000 copies are circulated through Catholic churches, schools, hospitals and bookshops in the Archdiocese.
